How we approach backsplashes on site
A backsplash is a small job that is entirely about layout. The run is short, the eye is close, and every cut is visible — so where the cuts land is the whole decision.
Outlets are the usual problem. Tile cut around an outlet that sits mid-pattern looks wrong no matter how neat the cut, so the pattern is planned around them from the start.
The edges are where cheap work shows. A raw cut edge left exposed, or a trim piece in a slightly wrong color, undoes an otherwise good installation.
